Last year 4,020 users visited Kirchner-French Library to checkout 5,400 items. Our staff answered 936 questions for the public. 494 people used our electronic resources. 236 children and adults attended library programs. Our patrons are 52% City of Peterson, 35% Rural Clay County and 13% from surrounding counties.

The library collection consists of 6,002 books, including large print, 20 periodical subscriptions, 43 audio books, 506 video materials, 29 computer application software, 13 databases and 5 other materials. We have 2 computers for public use and 1 computer for staff use. The library complies with state standards for additions to materials, withdrawing materials, fill rates and turnover rates.
