Kirchner-French Memorial Library is excited to announce BRIDGES:  Iowa’s e-Library, which offers e-books and audio books free for downloading to your PC, Mac, Nook, Kindle, and other mobile devices.  Library card holders can check out and download digital media by visiting

BRIDGES replaces WILBOR/NEIBORS, which has been available through the Library since March of 2014.  If you had already been using WILBOR, your information has been transferred and you’re already familiar with how things work.  The new consortium now gives members access to more than 16,500

E-books and 7,500 audiobooks.  There are multiple copies of many titles and users can request automatic check outs when the items become available.  At the end of a set period of time, the titles are automatically returned.

The service is powered by OverDrive, which supports all major computers and devices and is free for patrons of Kirchner-French Memorial Library by just using their library card number.  Visit today to get started downloading audio and e-books.  If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us at the Library.
